SVK Prešov has a return machine

One of the installations of RFID technologies, that we implemented last year, was the return machine at the State Scientific Library in Prešov. Its readers are therefore not limited by the opening hours of the library and can return the borrowed documents 24 hours a day. The return machine is very helpful for librarians too – the device is linked to a grading line that automatically sorts books according to library requirements. For more information see here.

Slovak national authorities involved

In recent days, the Slovak National Library has allowed access to national authorities through the Z39.50 protocol. We have already involved the authorities for our Slovak customers.
If any of our Czech customers would be interested in using Slovak national authorities too, just contact a service representative, who will provide the access. Thank you.

“Mysterious stories” in Hodonín

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of Czech Republic, the literary and art competition of the school collectives “Mysterious stories” took place in City Library in Hodonín. Our company was very happy to support this event and give games, art supplies and other material gifts to winners. The prize-giving ceremony will take place on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 5:30 pm in the City Library.

Looking Back at Conferences in September 2018

In recent days, we have actively participated in two major conferences: “42nd Workshop of Librarians of Museums and Galleries in the Czech Republic” in Museum of Prácheň in Písek and “Today’s libraries 2018” in Olomouc. In both cases, we presented articles focused on data, information, information systems, and so on.
At the same time, these conferences meant a lot of new inspiration to us. Check a brief photo view.

Invitation to the “Today’s libraries 2018”

On 11th – 13th September 2018, the librarian conference “Today’s libraries 2018”, the main partner of which is our company, is held in Olomouc. Come to hear the presentations of Ing. Nadežda Andrejčíková, PhD. She will present ARL as a platform in the article entitled “Open, come …” on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 14:15. And on Wednesday at 13:35, in the article “What we do not see at first glance”, ARL tools determined for data analysis will be presented. Come and see!

The new ITlib Information Technology and Libraries 2/2018 issue brings reflection of N. Andrejčíková, member of the editorial board of the magazine and managing director of Cosmotron company. She spoke about the use of knowledge resources and information technologies, about attitude to the library profession, etc., as a response to reports about terminating of the favorite library conference INFORUM.
